By Anastasios Tamis
This volume of the work by Professor Tamis, published in Athens by Patakis Publishers, on the period from 1974 to 2016, depicts the immigration and settlement of 270,000 Hellenes (Greeks and Cypriots) in Australia, covering their years of communal organisation, their socio-economic and cultural advancement, their inter- and intra-communal relations, their relations with the homelands, the role of the Greek Orthodox church, and the most important organisations of Hellenes from individual regions. The book throws into perspective the contribution of Hellenism in the shaping of the contemporary national history of Australia.
