Celebrating the life of Greece's most loved composer, Mikis Theodorakis. The concert presents some of the most famous works, including The Ballad of the Dead Brother and Zorba. In 2000 Mikis Theodorakis was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize with warm support both within and outside Greece, and was shortlisted by the Erich Wolfgang Korngold Prize at the international Film Music Biennial in Bonn in 2002. In November 2005 Theodorakis received the UNESCO prize for arts and music in Aachen, Germany.
