This book by Varvara Athanasiou-Ioannou features over forty female role models, who have overcome racism, sexism, ageism, bullying and harassment and have excelled in all aspects of life. They offer words of wisdom and inspiration for a more inclusive world. The book and its relevance to International Women’s Day will be discussed by a panel including Dr Panayota Nazou, author of Promised Brides, and Violet Roumeliotis AM, CEO of Settlement Services International. Varvara Athanasiou-Ioannou is a Greek migrant, founder of the Greek Australian Women’s Food For Thought Network, and recipient of awards for her contributions to education, women and community.
