The Role of Philhellenism in the 1821 Greek Revolution

Among the heroes of the Greek Revolution of 1821 were many individuals and groups around Europe and the world who participated in the War of Independence and supported it from afar. Associate Professor Nicholas Doumanis of UNSW and Professor Nikos Papastergiadis of the University of Melbourne will be coming together to shed light on the significant role played by Philhellenes and Philhellenism in the 1821 Revolution, in an event organised by the Combined Universities Greek Association (CUGA).
