1821 by Costa Vertzayias: Book launch

Costa Vertzayias AM, lawyer and historian, launches his new book on the Greek War of Independence. His extensive research tackles controversial subjects such as the role of the Church, the Phanariots, the Kotsabasides, European involvement, massacres, Arvanites and Vlachs.

European involvement in the war was significant and an in-depth analysis of this involvement, as well as the history of the causes, battles, heroes and consequences of the 1821 Greek War of Independence, are all covered. The glossary and annexures are packed with information, some of which will surprise.
